By analyzing how people interact with coastal habitats, we provide the insights needed to create protection strategies that actually work for local people.

4. The Sáile Festival: A New Vision for Galway City

Coming in 2026, Sáile is CuriOcean’s flagship event—a vibrant celebration of our maritime identity designed to transform Galway into a hub of ocean advocacy and culture. This is where tradition meets the future, offering something for everyone who shares a love for the Atlantic.

What to expect at Sáile:

  • Workshops for All Generations: From "Young Explorer" sessions for kids to technical classes for adults, our interactive workshops make marine science and sustainability accessible and engaging for every age group.
